Appearance: Clarke stands at 5'5 and is of thin stature. She has grayish blue eyes and long, wavy hair. She hardly ever smiles and holds herself tensely, as if she's ready to run at a moment's notice. She has an expressive face and clear body language, both which betray her emotions easily.

When she arrives, she has a long and deep gash on her inner right forearm, stitched up expertly. When the stitches are removed, it will turn into a somewhat nasty scar.

History: Clarke was born on the Ark, a space station which supposedly houses all the remaining human population. Most of humanity was wiped out by a nuclear apocalypse, 80 years before her birth. She was born to Jake and Abigail Griffin. Her father was the senior environmental engineer, and her mother the chief medical officer. Her mother was also on the Council, the governing institution of the Ark.

Sometime later in her teen years, her father discovered that the Ark was running on a limited supply of oxygen. He wanted to tell the people this fact, and give them a chance to figure out what to do for themselves. However, the Council ordered him to stay quiet. He disagreed with this and made a video, but before he could air it, he was arrested for treason. His wife had reported him before he could carry out his plan, and he was sentenced to floating, the death sentence on the Ark. It involves opening an airlock on someone so that they are sucked into space.

Clarke had overheard her parents' discussion about his want to tell the people. She shared the facts with her best friend, Wells. Therefore, she blamed him for her father's floating, as she couldn't imagine that anyone else would have been able to report him. She was in denial over her mother, and ended up hating her best friend.

Time would pass and for a reason we don't know, Clarke ended up arrested for treason as well. Because she was under 18, she was imprisoned rather than floated. Eventually, at the age of seventeen, she and the other prisoners were unknowingly enlisted into a program called The 100.

The program involved sending 100 underage prisoners to the ground in a drop ship, to see if the Earth was now habitable. Their only task was to survive. If they survived, they would be followed down below by citizens of the Ark. If they didn't... well, they would be dead.

Many of them managed to survive, and they would go through many trials and tribulations. They would find out that there were people still alive on the ground, classified under three groups: Grounders, Reapers, and Mountain Men. The grounders live in tribes, the reapers are cannibals, and the mountain men live in Mount Weather, a bunker located near to where the drop ship crash landed.

Clarke ended up as the co-leader of the 100, along with Bellamy Blake. This is a role she tries to live up to, putting her people before herself as first priority. She also developed a love interest, Finn Collins. However, after they had sex, it would turn out he had a girlfriend and therefore she did not trust him enough to be with him.

One problem would be that the Grounders got off to a rough start with their group. This adversity would be responsible for most of what the kids went through. This would culminate in a battle against several Grounders. To end this battle, Clarke gathered her people inside the drop ship, while having another of their people wire the drop ship to send out an explosion to burn everything outside. As a result, Clarke has the stain of 300 Grounders on her hands, something which she will not forgive herself for. It also appeared that both Bellamy and Finn had been burned up, though this was false.

After they all left the drop ship, they were gassed by mysterious figures, who turned out to be Mountain Men. The Mountain Men took all of them back to their bunker and put them in quarantine, intending to assimilate the 100 into their population. However, all Clarke knew was that they were locked into rooms, and she threatened a girl named Maya with broken glass. This is what would cause the large wound on her arm.

Clarke was forgiven for this act and the President, Dante Wallace, took a special interest in her. He respects her as a fellow leader. The Mountain Men take care of the 100. They provide food, shelter, love and care. But Clarke has severe doubts about them. She thinks they must have an ulterior motive. As it turns out, the President does not, but his son and chief medical officer do. They want to use the 100 to provide the Mountain Men with the blood that will make them able to survive outside their bunker. For you see, as they have lived in the bunker since the nuclear war, they have not developed the ability to handle the surface radiation.

Due to Clarke's fears, she tries to escape. However, she is convinced otherwise when it's discovered if she were to open that door, she would contaminate the bunker with radiation. In the end, she's won over by the President's kindness, at least enough to start trying to live again. But she still has her doubts.

She is provided with art supplies by the President and soon after, she ends up at the Warehouse. This will not be something she considers pleasant, as she will worry about her people, but it's not as if the past few years of her life have been any more pleasant than this.

Previous Game History, IF APPLICABLE: None.

Personality: Clarke is a very intense person. She throws her everything into what she's committed to, working at at least 200%. She stands by her beliefs and morals and doesn't let anyone shake her from them. She doesn't tell lies.

She doesn't tend to be happy, an example of which that it took several episodes before we saw her smile. It's not that she's necessarily depressed, but that life has betrayed her in so many ways that she hasn't had time to recover. Her dad dying, being imprisoned, being sent to the ground and being expected to survive, discovering her mother had contributed to her father's death... all these things and more besides.

She's a fighter, always moving forward at all cost to herself. She's a strong leader and a creative artist. She loves to express herself through her art. It's the one thing she truly has for herself. She's caring, which helps lend to her medic skills, as she go above and beyond for her patients.

Special facts/special abilities about your character:

Clarke has medic skills, serving as the main source of medical attention for the 100. She's creative and smart, both in art and in solving life problems. One example of both her creativity and medic skills is how she saved a boy named Jasper from having been speared in the chest and gone septic - she found and used special seaweed to help cure him of the sepsis, having seen a Grounder do the same for someone else in a similar situation. She's highly gifted in leadership as well.

What is arriving with your character? Art supplies and a hand-drawn map of Mount Weather.

PART 3 - Writing Samples

1. First Person Writing Sample: [Clarke appears on the Farnsworth, a fake smile plastered on her face. It may not be believable, but she's trying her very best.]

Hey there. Settling in means making friends, right? So let's make friends.

[Her voice cracks slightly because she's not actually sure about this, but it's something she better try if she wants to get any answers. Others have been here longer and clearly know more than her, and she'd like to acquire that knowledge for herself.]

I want to get to know you. So tell me about yourselves. Where did you come from? How are you settling in?

[You can trust her. She's expressing interest.]

2. Third Person Writing Sample: Clarke's in the kitchen, trying to heat up some food in the microwave. She's not used to cooking actual food, so she hasn't been successful in the past three tries. First it burned, second it was still frozen, and the third time it somehow ended up as both. She's getting hungry and this is frustrating.

All she had on the Ark was rations and all she'd had on the ground was flame, meat and plants. Despite being from an advanced society, this alone is stumping her. She's actually hoping someone will come along and help her, instead of fussing about doing it herself. Except she'd probably be too embarrassed to ask for help, so such an event would be useless after all.

Part of the problem is her mind keeps wandering and she forgets to watch the food to see when it's done. She can't help thinking about home. She wishes her people were here with her, in what seems to be an idealic world. She feels guilty that they aren't. She wishes she could find them. Maybe someone else will end up on this world. Maybe Bellamy or Finn - she doesn't know if either is alive, and she would like to very much.

The microwave beeps and when Clarke opens it, for once it actually looks edible. Actual food, what a concept. She will enjoy it thoroughly, even with the guilt and wandering thoughts. She thinks she'll never get used to this, and that's a good thing. That way she'll never stop appreciating what she's been given. And what she wishes she could give to her people.

3. First or Third person Sample: Clarke is suspicious of the situation. She's ended up at some place called Univille, and she's not entirely sure this is real. Perhaps the people of the mountain have induced a coma in her? Maybe this is nothing more than a coma dream.

That's a possibility, anyway. It's not one she *believes*, but keeping it in mind is helping her stay calm enough not to attack anyone for answers. What also helps is she knows at least most of these people are innocent. They've ended up here in the same way and if this is a harmful situation, they're victims too.

She's especially suspicious of the fact she made it through the entire orientation without striking out - she just felt so *complacant*, and that is not normal for her at all.

For now she's going to pretend she's still just as complacant. She's going to pretend to be happy to be here. And if that gets her close to some of the possible captors? That wouldn't be a bad thing at all.
